عفاف كنفاني

Afaf Kanafani was a Lebanese-Palestinian-American writer. Her family married her off in the 1930s, and she moved to Palestine with her husband. Her experience in Palestine and witnessing the Nakba made her a lifelong activist for Palestine. She also established a scholarship fund for women working on Middle East topics.
