نبذات رنا قباني

رنا قباني (وُلدت عام 1958) كاتبة وشاعرة ومؤرخة وإعلامية سورية بريطانية. وُلدت في دمشق عام 1958، وهي ابنة السفير السوري صباح قباني الشقيق الأصغر للشاعر السوري نزار قباني تعيش في لندن تزوجت من الشاعر الفلسطيني محمود درويش ثم تطلقت ولم تنجب منه ثم تزوجت من الصحفي البريطاني باتريك سيل. كان موضوع رسالتها للدكتوراة (أساطير أوروبا عن الشرق) الذي تحول إلى كتابٍ فيما بعد. لها أيضًا كتاب «رسالة إلى الغرب». مراجع بوابة المملكة المتحدة بوابة المرأة بوابة أعلام بوابة سوريا

Rana Kabbani (Arabic: رنا قباني; born 1958) is a British Syrian cultural historian, writer and broadcaster who lives in London. Most famous for her works Imperial Fictions: Europe's Myths of the Orient (1994) and Letter to Christendom (1989), she has also edited and translated works in Arabic and English. Rana Kabbani is a writer and broadcaster. She is the author of Imperial Fictions, Letter to Christendom, and has introduced and edited The Passionate Nomad: The Diary of Isabelle Eberhardt. Her translation of Mahmoud Darwish’s poetry was published in Sand and Other Poems. She is a frequent contributor to the Guardian, and has written and presented many programmes for BBC radio and television.
