Mortada Gzar is an Iraqi novelist, filmmaker and cartoonist born in 1982. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Baghdad University in 2005. His film Lord Forgive Nadeima participated in the Dubai Film Festival in 2014 and his film Kaaba, which saw the Oasis Award from the Arab Film Festival in Tunisia, represented Iraq in the animation film at the Imola Festival in Italy, and represented Iraq in the World Writing Program in the United States of America
