Ghada Chehade is an award-winning poet, political and social analyst, activist, and academic living in Montreal. She holds a Ph.D. from McGill University and is currently publishing a book on anti-terrorism legislation and the criminalization of dissent. Ghada was born in Egypt and moved to Canada at a very young age. The daughter of a Palestinian refugee, she is engaged in the global Palestinian struggle for self-determination and to end the occupation. She is also engaged in global social justice advocacy.
