In 2012, Rowayat روايات launched as a literary journal platforming the hybrid writer, focusing on Egyptian and Arab/SWANA writers. Our publications included a children’s issue, Rowayat Gemeza, and a French issue, Édition spéciale de Rowayat en français. We also held events, organized literary festivals, talks, workshops and competitions, and published several print issues featuring compelling artwork alongside prose and poetry.

Since 2015, Rowayat has published several books through its publishing arm. We focus on the often untold stories, written primarily by writers in a language other than their native tongue. As a literary magazine, we release online and print editions.
